Parking lot marking is the application of visible lines, symbols, and signage on paved surfaces to organize traffic flow, designate parking stalls, and ensure compliance with accessibility and fire safety regulations. Clear, well-maintained markings improve driver navigation, reduce liability risks, and create a professional first impression for tenants and visitors.
In Atlantic Canada, markings face unique challenges: freeze-thaw cycles, snow plow abrasion, road salt, and heavy seasonal rainfall break down standard paint in as little as one season. That’s why material selection matters as much as application technique.
RoadMarking Canada offers three tiers of marking materials — water-based paint, sprayed MMA, and extruded MMA — so property managers can choose the right balance of upfront cost and long-term durability for their specific lot conditions.
An economical option ideal for low-traffic lots and seasonal touch-ups. Quick to apply and budget-friendly for short-term needs.
The best value for most Atlantic Canadian parking lots. Excellent snow plow and freeze-thaw resistance with a fast 5–15 minute cure time.
Maximum durability for high-traffic commercial properties. Withstands the toughest winters and delivers the lowest cost per year over a 6-year lifecycle.

MMA (methyl methacrylate) is a two-component resin that chemically bonds to asphalt and concrete. Unlike water-based paint, it resists snow plow blades, salt, and freeze-thaw cycles, lasting up to 3–6 years versus 1–2 seasons for paint.
It depends on the material. Standard water-based paint typically lasts 1–2 seasons. Sprayed MMA holds up to 3 years, and extruded MMA can last up to 6 years, even under heavy plow and salt exposure.
Water-based paint requires temperatures above 10°C. Our MMA products can be applied in temperatures as low as 2°C and cure in just 5–15 minutes, extending the marking season well into fall and early spring.
We handle stall lines, directional arrows, handicap symbols, fire lane markings, crosswalks, speed bumps, curb painting, and custom stenciling — all compliant with Canadian accessibility and safety standards.
Cost varies by lot size, material, and condition. While MMA has a higher upfront cost than paint, it's significantly cheaper over a 6-year period because it doesn't need annual reapplication. Contact us for a free personalized quote.
